Your Israel Adventure Awaits: Read, Trek, Experience, Enjoy!

Hello! I am an avid hiker and a veteran of the Israel National Trail.

I invite you to join me as I unleash my curiosity on other trails – long and short – in Israel.

My aim is to break some of Israel’s longer trails up into Friday-friendly day hikes of ~13-15 km sections and to provide information, documentation and tips which I hope will help you choose the right hike(s) for you.

Most people will tell you that hiking during the hot months in Israel isn’t possible. That it’s too dangerous. Yes, it can be dangerous. NEVER hike in heat wave conditions! But if you are prepared to get to your start point by sunrise, keep the length to 5-8 kms, choose a hike that is mostly shaded and finish by 9:00 or 10:00 am at the latest, it is possible. And if a creek or the sea figures into your hike, even better.

For each hike, I will provide:

  • Waze coordinates to start and end points
  • Map link to our route
  • Things to be aware of such as a dirty or poorly-marked trail and drinking water sources
  • Difficulty level

Be sure to check out the Gear and Food tab which includes some tips for more comfortable and safer hiking.
